About this funding

The Community Investment Fund aims to enhance community wellbeing and address health disparities through local initiatives. This funding release focuses on a £130,000 segment of the broader Community Investment Fund that targets organisations within Southend’s Voluntary, Community, Faith, or Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sectors that have not yet received investment from the Community Investment Board.

Eligible projects can receive funding ranging from £100 to £10,000 (up to £3,000 for constituted groups). The fund aims to empower young people, improve community spaces, reduce poverty, and enhance the voluntary sector’s capacity.

To qualify for funding, projects must be delivered in Southend, benefit Southend residents, and align with the fund’s objectives. Eligible organisations must not have previously received investment from the Community Investment Board.

This funding opportunity is ideal for organisations that are committed to creating meaningful and sustainable improvements in the Southend-on-Sea community. For more information and to apply, please see the funding guidance.

Applications will remain open until all funds are allocated. Given the anticipated high demand for these funds, we recommend submitting your applications promptly.
